Schedule for the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone

 

16 June 2025 – signing of the agreement with NAWA on the implementation of the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone

September 2025–February 2026 – preparation by teachers implementing the summer school of modifications to teaching materials, quizzes and tests to verify participants’ knowledge

September 2025 – Daniel Nosiadek Kedaison, in cooperation with the teaching staff preparing the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone, makes new recordings in the Tri-City and its surroundings, used to modify virtual educational materials.

September – February 2026 – preparation by Daniel Nosiadek Kedaison of modifications to virtual teaching materials by updating and modernising the VR educational application on the UG Educational Portal and VR goggles.

January 2026 – development of recruitment rules for the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone

5 January 2026, 2:00-5:15 p.m. – Remote workshops for teaching staff implementing IMPK entitled: ‘How to use design thinking in classes with students? A short course in Design Thinking’. Duration: 4 teaching hours, led by Dr Anna Kot

2 February 2026, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Remote workshop for teaching staff implementing IMPK entitled: ‘Planning effective interaction with students in a virtual environment’. Duration: 6 teaching hours, led by Dr Anna Kot

4 February 2026, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Remote workshops for teaching staff implementing Intensive International Education Programmes entitled: ‘Interculturally sensitive teaching – what does it mean today?’. Duration: 6 teaching hours, led by Dr Magdalena Gajewska

28 January 2026 – announcement of the rules for recruitment to the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone, publication of information about recruitment for the summer school on the WOiG website, on social media, and sending it to universities affiliated with the SEA-EU alliance and other friendly academic centres.

1–28 February 2026, 11:59 p.m. – recruitment of participants for the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone

9 February 2026 – submission of lecture and exercise content, as well as tests and quizzes, for language verification

4 March 2026, 4 p.m. – announcement of recruitment results, possible announcement of additional recruitment

5–31 March 2026, 11:59 p.m. – possible additional recruitment of participants for the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone

1 April 2026, 4 p.m. – announcement of the results of the additional recruitment

2 April 2026, 11:59 p.m. – sending participants of the International Summer School – Pollution in the POLCA 2.0 coastal zone a link to register in the NAWA system and complete the participant data for the Intensive International Education Programme and the User’s guide to the FERS1 application system

4-13 May 2026 – implementation of the International Summer School – Pollution in the Coastal Zone POLCA 2.0 at the University of Gdynia campus, Al. Marszałka Piłsudskiego 46, according to the schedule posted here (“International Summer School – Pollution in the Coastal Zone 2.0” | POLCA 2.0)

14 May – 31 July 2026 – project settlement, submission of the final report
